smart kids 2
By Dan Hill
Playing games with kids that have some thinking involved is a great way to spend quality time together while improving their skills (and maybe even yours). We play a game called guess what I'm thinking. We rotate roles, where the kids guess, and then ask. The person asking thinks of something and gives one description of it. The guesser than guesses something that matches it. Then if not guessed you say something else about it and they guess again, and you make sure that what they guess matches all the descriptions given so far. For example: - I'm thinking of something white * Refrigerator - Yes, our refrigerator is white, but that is not what I'm thinking. I'm thinking of something white and outside. * Cloud - Yes, that is white and outside, but not what I'm thinking. I'm thinking of something white, outside, and has a door. * Our car - Yes, that is white, outside and has a door, but not what I'm thinking. I'm thinking of something white, outside, has a door, and a flag. * Our mailbox Correct! It's fun for the kids and is very good to get their minds thinking, especially when they have to give the description of what they are thinking. Great game to play together while taking a trip. Helps pass the time and gets everyone interacting.
