Choosing a home biz ~ part 2
When choosing a home business - part 2: The business should be Customer focused. There is a lot to this, I will try to keep it simple. Most businesses I have seen are focused on recruiting more business associates. The biggest way this is evident in what I've seen is that what is rewarded is sales, not customers. If a business seems to thrive on recruiting it will end up in a bad way. Recruiting is not what the focus should be. The focus should be on customers. If a customer is not good enough, why is there even a business to begin with? Part 1 discussed how there should be no start up costs. That carries over here. If a business lets you get a product or service as a customer, but then charges you more to become an associate or reseller, then think again. That would mean customers are not important. If I ran a business, I would want customers. If a customer wanted to bring in more customers, why would I charge them to do that? (sure, to have certain business tools & features there could be a charge, but it should be optional. see part 1). So, a customer should also be able to recruit others and earn without having to upgrade. Also, a customer should be rewarded for the continued success of the business by enabling them to earn, regardless if they recruit anyone or not. Now, I know restaurants do not reward customers. That should not be a comparison. They typically do not reward you for telling a friend or family member about the place either. Online business is different. If a business is customer focused and not recruiting focused, then customers will be able to earn. This is starting to happen more and more. Companies are creating what is known as a forced matrix. The best ones are 2 wide and no more than 5 deep. Anything else, although good, is not good enough. It takes too long for customers to reap the benefits. If there is a 2x5 matrix, this means everyone can only have 2 people in their first level, directly below them. Those 2 can each only have 2 and so on. Then, a second level is only 4 people and third level is 8 and so on. This means, if you join and I join a program under Ted, and Ted recruits 4 more people, my first level and your first level are already filled for us and we did not have to recruit anyone. We are now being rewarded, just for being customers.
